The men with low testosterone levels may be affected by the stress caused by the global economic recession, according to a British physician.
The chronic stress caused by the financial concerns or more hours of work can make the levels of the hormone falter, said Richard Petty, the medical director of one of the main London clinic of the men’s health.
The testosterone is a hormone produced by the testicles that leads to the development of male sexual characteristics and is related to sexual function, the movement and muscle mass, as well as the concentration, the mood and memory.
“When a man becomes disharmony or irritable, is easy to blame the effects of aging,” say the researchers.
In the short term, stress can increase the levels of testosterone, and this is useful for helping people to respond quickly to new situations and pressure”.
But the chronic stress, which is under way, is an important factor in the decline of testosterone.
The chronic stress is produces too often because of our modern style of life, when all the jobs of high pressure, the unemployment kept the body in a state of a constant threat.
That is why it advises men to reduce their stress levels as far as possible with rest, healthy eating and exercise.
