postheadericon Some of the most important minerals for our agency

The minerals are those chemical elements essential for the normal operation metabolic. They work synergistically next to the vitamins to regulate a large amount of essential functions for our body. Given that our body cannot produce alone must acquire through our diet. Hence the importance of our food.
Some of the most important minerals for our agency are:
Chromium: This mineral participates in the lipid metabolism, in the carbohydrates, as well as other functions. His absence causes a glucose intolerance, which can cause the emergence of different problems.
Magnesium: This mineral is necessary for more than 300 functions of our body. It is essential for the contraction and muscle relaxation. Read the rest of this entry »

postheadericon The importance of nutrition.

Through the time the science has been in charge of demonstrate the importance of nutrition for the functioning of the human body. The variety of foods that exist provide us with all the elements that we need to maintain the life of a healthy way
Like a car need of gasoline to function or a mobile phone requires it to be charged your battery, our body also consumes energy all the time. This energy the taking of food. The main source of energy comes from carbohydrates.
Many foods contain carbohydrates and when there is an excess of carbohydrates our agency is responsible for save that energy surplus in the form of fat. When there is an unmet demand for energy, our body burning fat to obtain it. The fats are like a stock of energy that is available for times of scarcity.
But not only of carbohydrates live our body, we also need amino acids to rebuild and repair various parts of the body and proteins that play a leading role in the functioning of the immune system, nervous, hormonal and the bodies.
Other substances that are very important for good nutrition, in addition to the proteins, carbohydrates and amino acids, are vitamins. Small amounts of vitamins are necessary for the proper functioning body chemistry. Many of the functional mechanisms of our body give thanks to complex chemical processes and vitamins actively involved in these processes.
Many times our body is also capable of manufacturing the elements that need for him, and takes many forms of offset a shortfall of some of the nutrients, but this can lead to health problems. It is so important a good nutrition for a good health. Read the rest of this entry »

postheadericon The food with a low GI score.

A new study suggests that the food with a low glycemic (IG), as the oats triggers the release of large quantities of a hormone in the intestine that stimulates the delay of hunger through the creation of a feeling of fullness.
Scientists already knew that a diet low GI takes more time to be digested, freeing the sugar more slowly in the bloodstream.
Now a team of researchers have discovered that the food with a low GI score, which includes bread and the majority of fruit and vegetables, stimulates the release of about 20 percent more than the hormone LPG-1 by lunch food with a GI high rate.
Dr. Reza Norouzy, who led the study, said that the chemical is “one of the most powerful hormones to suppress appetite”.
“Our results suggest that the meals of low IG give rise to a feeling of fullness due to increased levels of LPG-1 in the bloodstream.
“This is an interesting result that offers more clues about how it governs our appetite and offers an idea of how a diet low GI produces satiety”.
The team of King’s College in London studied the effects of different diets in 12 healthy volunteers and the results of its findings were presented at the annual assembly of the Society of Endocrinology BES meeting in Harrogate. Read the rest of this entry »

postheadericon The bioactive products

The products bioactive appear to be the path to follow in the coming years in terms of nutrition. These products are derived from the nutrigenomics, a discipline that integrates the study of our genetics to nutrition, and that will create products that improve the quality of food.

This kind of products, instead of bringing the due date and deterioration of food help to improve its quality and lengthen the time of useful life of the same. This panorama promises interesting goals for the food industry, and seems to be a result imminent.

This is confirmed the institutions OPTI and AINIA, which have carried out the Prospective study on Nutrigenomics, food and health, which concludes that the diets of the future contemplate food products with bioactive, which contribute to improving the health of individuals.

The decline in the bone-muscular, maintenance of the hair, the ant oxidation of cells or the moisture on the skin are some of the benefits that this type of products pose to human beings, to accentuate the potential benefits of food itself and improving therefore their benefits to the agency.
