postheadericon The worse diet

The stop eating by losing a few kilos is a process that is among the experiences more ineffective and more curious of human beings. What another occasion there in that people will submit disciplined to deprivation for days, weeks or even months, in order to achieve a goal, to finish verifying that the such objective starts to weakened as soon as has been achieved? And if this experience was not sufficiently frustrated, many people who diet regularly to this process and lose with great enthusiasm, and during short time, some kilos to retrieve after. They are people who are depletemental, physical, spiritual and emotionally, always seeking a permanent result which do not find ever. And this search, frequent and sterile, creates too much stress and emotional disturbance that so well known who diet.
The people gives in to their own whims until you reach a point where they no longer can look at, or in which is with the clothes no longer it goes. Then, reluctantly, undertakes to “make diet” to compensate for the previous excess of tolerance. It is like running to cast key to the garage door when somebody has already led the car. It is too late; the damage was done. The remedy for these excesses is usually the deprivation, and almost all of the “subsistence curative” offered today in the market demand that those who still lower weight to the price that is. The dietary plans are an extremely expensive to lose weight, and many times its real cost is the welfare of the person.
Why don’t work the diets? The answer is, in fact, very simple. What does one when doing diet? Generally in what is going to eat when they finally finished with this ordeal. How is it possible to succeed with a diet if one does not think more than in eat? The deprivation is not the way to achieve a loss of healthy weight and permanent. Generally, it is because of that after one clutter, which is compounded the problem. Among the deprived and eat it establishes a vicious circle, which is precisely one of the many disadvantages of subsistence. Read the rest of this entry »

postheadericon What happens during weight training?

Weight training and muscle building routines are not necessarily all about ending up looking like a prime Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In fact, there are hundred of athletes competing in next year’s 2012 Olympics who are quite the opposite build to that. They need just a few core muscle strengths in order to compete at the highest sporting levels in the world against other fit and strong competitors.

This includes those competing in kayaking, athletics, bobsleigh, cycling and of course gymnastics – an often overlooked but highly demanding sport. Really, there are very few sports in the Olympic games that don’t require the need for some kind of muscle building.

Yet the actually process of muscle building occurs in the same way no matter what your sport or personal achievement may be.

When a muscle contracts against a large amount of resistance (e.g. dumb bell) then it begins to adapt to become much stronger than before. This happens because tiny tears begin to form in the muscle fibres prompting something known as the muscle-protein synthesis to repair the strained and damaged muscle.

When amino acids try to rebuild the muscle and reinforce the fibres, then they become stronger and eventually physically bigger; able to withstand more stress. Performance enhancing supplements and repair compounds can speed up this process further.

Of course the opposite is true too. The less we use our muscles, the more likely they are to wither and weaken and our frames look smaller.

Additionally, research shows that after a work-out, muscles continue to repair and grow for up to two-days. Therefore the best way to work on the whole body is not by targetting individual muscles each or every other day but by doing full body work-outs every two days. Then the muscles are in a constant process of building.

You couldn’t possibly intensively work out everyday because your body would never accept the nutrients it needs to build new muscles. It would just concentrate on getting you through the workout instead, which is detrimental to the body and repair of the muscles.

Despite the muscle building process being scientifically the same between all people, it’s worth noting that the rate of progress totally depends on the individual trying to build muscle. Metabolisms vary between all people which will ultimately be one of the deciding factors when trying to build new and stronger muscles.

postheadericon Obesity surgery is better for diabetes than diet

Whether we are berating them for their ghastly fat deposits, their all-too-skinny-too-soon post baby bodies or their screen performances, celebs have much to contend with from their adoring fans and we really should not be comparing ourselves to those who make a living from the way they look.

There are a million different ways to lose the pounds and often surgery is frowned upon as an easy way out but the latest in weight loss treatment news is that weight loss surgery is now thought to be better than a healthy diet for improvements in patients with diabetes.

The researchers found that the level of branched amino acids was massively reduced in patients post-surgery over those who had lost weight due to their diet restrictions. Branched chain amino acids have associations with resistance to insulin.

Often diabetes remission occurs after up to 80% of gastric surgery but it is not seen after similar weight loss is achieved through dieting.

Ronald MacDonald is still our worst enemy however and his 30th birthday is causing a stir among health experts internationally for the brand’s supposed impact and perpetuation of childhood obesity.

A group of nuns asked for a report within the next 6 months which they hope will analyse the issues pertaining to public concern such as the relationship of junk food to childhood obesity and diet and the general health of children. This was opposed by the fast food giants and defended with talk of their democratic right to choice.

More research has gone into the effect of computer games on childhood obesity. Research shows that this pastime actually stimulates the appetite of young people and explains that it’s not always down to lack of exercise that children become obese but rather that they are simply overeating.

postheadericon Will the pope change his attitude to Condom use

With a massive portion of the world devoted to the practices of the Catholic and Apostolic Church, it is high time the Pope changes his attitude towards condom use. So, has he seen the light yet?

After his comments in 2009 which stated that condoms do not serve to prevent the spread of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases but merely exacerbated the problem, the Pope’s latest efforts are a welcome surprise.

The latest reports describe how the Vatican have been in the company of Aids experts from all around the globe for a short symposium today. We will see how this fairs but in the meantime there are arguments suggesting that this was arranged to improve the image of the church solely and that the church are still arguing against condoms in favour of abstinence, marriage and fidelity.

Society has become a lot more sexually aware and sexualised.  Sex and people exploited to sell products, music, art and even newspapers. Religion needs to protect its people and its followers and the world that has been created by it rather than turn its back on them and disregard their ‘modern’ behaviour as the work of the devil.

The only way to avoid the problem of sexually transmitted disease is by using barrier contraception. Taking regular STD home tests after one changes partner is vital in the prevention of STIs.  There are some viruses that will require a more complex screening carried out using a blood sample like HPV and Herpes. Testing for herpes is imperative as many people do not know they carry the disease.

STD home tests are available from online clinics (online STI clinics) and involve the providing of a sample of urine. For anything other than urethral infection such as testing for herpes, blood and swab samples would need to be taken in a face to face environment wither with a GP or at a GUM clinic.

Either thousands of us with experience the dreaded genital wart and cancer causing virus. With 50% of the American population infected with HPV it is only a matter of time before such numbers will be revealed in health reports. Getting diagnosed is the key to stopping the spread of HPV.
